The swing at the top of Bernal Hill is a great spot for a morning view of the east side of San Francisco! Here’s a short clip for you:
Today our small group strolled together in the SF Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum. Lots of bird sounds and wonderful scents from flowering plants. Walking meditation by the fountain. A pause in the redwood grove. And, new walking buddies! We’re grateful for this peaceful green space in the middle of San Francisco.
Words to walk by:
“From either a social or ecological perspective, the ultimate goal of ‘doing nothing’ is to wrest our focus from the attention economy and replant it in the public, physical realm.” (J. Odell, How to Do Nothing)
I love this part of walking in San Francisco neighborhoods: Go out into the world and the world meets us. I bumped into three friends along the way on today’s walk, all whom I was happy to see and it had been awhile. Thanks to synchronicity, I also made a new walking group connection! Today started after the rain in Bernal with a loop down, around, and up to the top of Bernal Hill. Then we trundled down the hill into sunny Noe Valley, and strolled along the flat before wandering back up.
